Melkington
Lodge is ideally situated for experiencing all the activities and
sights in the area and is also an ideal mid-point between Edinburgh,
Scotland, 45 mins drive north, and Hadrians Wall, 1 hr drive south.

Play
tennis in the countryside, bring your own horses (stabling & bedding
available for 4) for riding in the hills and let your children play
in our well equiped garden play area.

Explore the historic region of Northumberland, one of the driest regions
in the UK and once the scene of numerous battles, such as at Flodden
Field, in its disputed Border Regions between the English, the Scots
and the notorious Border Rievers.

It is now a peaceful sparsely populated area with a strong Christian
Heritage, as can be seen at Holy Island's Lindisfarne Castle, and
the numerous castles, such as at Bamburgh and Alnwick.
